These Terms of Service apply to everyone who visits or uses ifixhouse.com (the "site"). In these terms, "we", "our" and "us" mean Euclid Squared Inc., which operates iFixHouse. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.
iFixHouse publishes home repair answers: what you are looking at, whether it is really broken, and what a fair fix should cost. The site also offers videos from our YouTube channel, a store and a free email newsletter (iFixHouse Weekly). You do not need an account to use the site.
Everything on iFixHouse is general information about homes and home repair. It is not professional advice from a contractor, plumber, electrician, home inspector or engineer. We have not inspected your home, so what we say may not fit it.
Building codes, permit rules and safety rules are set locally. Follow the codes, permit requirements and safety rules where you live; your local building office can tell you what applies to your job.
Hire a licensed professional for gas line work, electrical panel or live wiring work, structural work, asbestos removal and any other job that could be dangerous. We do not publish step-by-step repair instructions, and nothing on the site is a guide to doing that work yourself.
Prices and costs on the site are general estimates. Real prices change with region, season and materials, so get written quotes before you hire anyone. You are responsible for the decisions you make and for any work you do or pay for.
In an emergency, do not look for answers online. If you smell gas, leave the house and call your gas utility from outside. If a carbon monoxide alarm sounds, get everyone out and call 911.

iFixHouse Weekly is free. You join only after you confirm your address from the email we send, and you can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email. We may change how often it is sent, or stop sending it.

Use iFixHouse only for lawful purposes. You agree not to break any law while using the site, and not to use it to harass, threaten or harm anyone.
You also agree not to try to reach parts of the site or its systems that are not public, interfere with how the site works, overload it with automated traffic, or copy its content in bulk with scrapers or bots. Please do not sign up other people for the newsletter without their permission.
The site links to websites and services that we do not control, including YouTube (where our videos are hosted) and Fourthwall (which runs our store). Their own terms and policies apply when you use them, and we are not responsible for their content or for how they work.
The content on the site, including its text, images, videos, logos and design, is owned by Euclid Squared Inc. or used with permission, and is protected by copyright and other laws. You may link to our pages and quote short passages with credit and a link back. Do not copy, republish or sell our content without written permission.
iFixHouse is independent and is not affiliated with iFixit. Other company and product names on the site belong to their owners.

To the extent the law allows, Euclid Squared Inc. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss, damage or injury that results from your use of the site, from relying on its content, or from repair work you do or pay for.
